Welcome to Jacqueline Parker Creative (JPC).
Important Disclaimer: By using our online platform (www.melbournemakeupartist.com) to book hair and/or makeup services, and ticking the acceptance box on our booking form, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agreed to both JPC’s Terms and Conditions and your selected hair and makeup artist’s (stylist’s) Terms and Conditions (below). Please read all T&Cs carefully before making a booking.
1. GENERAL

Jacqueline Parker Creative (JPC) operates as an online platform that facilitates introductions between a client (you) and individual trading hair and makeup artists (stylists), who each run their own independent businesses under an Australian Business Number (ABN). JPC’s role is to pass on booking requests from clients to the stylists, recommend stylists who have been vetted for quality and professionalism, and provide quotes from those stylists’ businesses to clients.

JPC does not manage stylists’ calendars or handle bookings on their behalf. Once a client secures a booking, it is the client’s responsibility to liaise directly with the stylist to reconfirm all details prior to the appointment.

JPC’s role is limited to facilitating connections and recommendations only, and JPC is not responsible or liable for the work performed by the stylists. Clients acknowledge that JPC’s service is entirely separate from the services rendered by the stylist, and JPC makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the quality, suitability, or outcome of the stylist’s services.

By booking through the JPC platform, clients acknowledge that the contractual relationship exists solely between the client and the stylist, and any disputes or claims arising from the services provided are to be resolved directly with the stylist.

2. SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

Details of our 100% satisfaction guarantee can be found HERE. Please familiarise yourself with our policy prior to booking and ensure your stylist has been made aware of any special requirements, medical conditions, allergies, sensitives, recent skin/hair treatments etc prior to the day of your appointment.
3. PAYMENTS & CHARGES

An initial deposit is required at the time of booking and will be processed/collected through the JPC website on behalf of the stylist. The deposit is non-refundable, unless the stylist is unable to accept your booking. Please refer to our refund policy HERE.

JPC does not process or handle any payments beyond the initial deposit. Any secondary deposit or the remaining balance is payable directly to the stylist as per their own individual terms and conditions (refer to their T&Cs below or any specific communication with the stylist post-booking).

Completion of the online booking form constitutes a contract of service between the client and the stylist.

Unpaid invoices that are overdue may be forwarded to a debt collection agency for recovery, including any associated costs.
4. SAFETY & INDEMNITY

The use of makeup, hair, and beauty products may result in allergic reactions, adverse health reactions, or injury. Clients agree to engage stylists at their own risk and acknowledge that JPC and its affiliates are not liable for any injury, harm, or adverse outcomes arising from services provided by stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that the premises provided for services are safe, hazard-free, and suitable for the stylist’s needs.

Clients agree to indemnify Jacqueline Parker Creative and any stylist recommended by JPC against all claims and all costs, liability and expenses incurred by Jacqueline Parker Creative, arising wholly or in part from the use of the venue, the client's breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any act or omission by the client, their visitors, employees, agents and contractors (including a negligent act or omission) in respect of:
a) Loss or damage to property; and
b) Illness, injury or death of any person.
5. RECOMMENDATIONS & ENDORSEMENTS

JPC may provide recommendations or endorsements for certain stylists listed on our platform, based on previous experiences or a comprehensive vetting process. These recommendations reflect JPC’s subjective opinion and personal experience but do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of the stylist’s performance, suitability, or outcomes of the services provided.

JPC’s vetting process ensures that stylists meet our standards of quality and professionalism; however, clients acknowledge that JPC does not guarantee the performance or results of the services rendered.

JPC shall not be held liable for any discrepancies between recommendations and actual service outcomes.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JPC, including its Directors, Employees, Instructors, Subcontractors, and Agents, are absolved from any liability arising from damage, loss, injury, illness, death, loss to property, damage to property, or claims of any kind resulting from the use of the services facilitated through the JPC platform.

By engaging a stylist through the JPC platform, clients acknowledge and agree that JPC is not liable for the actions, omissions, or services of the individual stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.

JPC is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from cancellations, delays, or alterations to services provided by stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR PLATFORM USE

JPC is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from technical issues, website errors, or interruptions in service on the JPC platform.
8. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

Cancellation and rescheduling policies vary by stylist. Clients are responsible for reviewing and complying with the stylist’s specific terms related to cancellations and refunds.

JPC is not responsible for any cancellation fees or disputes between the client and the stylist

JPC is not responsible for any issues arising from changes to bookings, including but not limited to cancellations, rescheduling, or discrepancies in pricing or availability.
9. AMENDMENTS

JPC reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting.

Thank you for your interest in Oakley Downie t/as Babydoll Artistry’s services. We request you read all terms and conditions so that you are fully aware of our rights & your rights before booking your service. Booking with us signifies that you have read and agree to our terms and conditions.
All contracts/dealings between Babydoll Artistry (ABN 72 622 472 598) and any person (‘Client’) relating to any goods or services provided and supplied by Babydoll Artistry to the Client are subject to the terms and conditions of trade set out below (‘these Terms’).
Babydoll Artistry has the right to remove or vary these Terms at any time and in doing so, will provide notice. Babydoll Artistry reserves the right to withdraw the Services and will NOT be liable (if for any reason) the Client does not review such changes.
PRIVACY POLICY
Information we may collect from customers
In order to provide better service to our valued clients, Babydoll Artistry may request personal details such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.
If you choose to withhold requested personal information, Babydoll Artistry may not be able to provide you with the customer service you require should that depend on the collection of that information, particularly if the collection of that information is required by law.
Babydoll Artistry will not sell or disclose the client's personal information/details to any third party without the client's consent unless for the purpose of a purchase, deposit, delivery; to comply with laws, investigations or legal proceedings; or to act on Babydoll Artistry's behalf where they are unable to do so themselves.
PROPERTY
The client can view, download, copy and/or print the images accessible on Babydoll Artistry’s socials for personal use only.
The client is not permitted to alter or reproduce the images on Babydoll Artistry’s socials in any manner without permission from Babydoll Artistry.
The client may NOT remove any trademarks made by Babydoll Artistry on any images, campaigns or marketing materials.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Babydoll Artistry accepts Cash, Mastercard, Visa and Direct Debit.
All prices are in Australian Dollars and do not include GST. Invoices are sent to your desired email address once the booking is confirmed and can be paid online.

DEPOSITS
An initial deposit will be paid via the Jacqueline Parker Recommended Stylists portal upon booking. This is $25 per adult hair or makeup and $10 per child's hair or makeup.
After booking, Babydoll Artistry request a further non-refundable $50 deposit to be paid within 14 days.
An invoice will be sent to your desired email address with the option of paying your deposit online.
Once your $50 deposit has been processed, a second invoice will be sent with your remaining balance owing.
All money must be paid in full before the service commences on the day.
All Weddings must be paid in full 3 months before the day of the service.
PLEASE NOTE:
A 48-hour late notice cancellation fee of $25.00 applies to all bookings.
OPENING HOURS
Babydoll Artistry is a freelance business and their hours vary week to week depending on bookings.
A surcharge of 10% will incur if the booking is earlier than 6:30 am or later than 6:00 pm on any day and will also apply on Sundays.
The following days are an exception:
Easter Sunday – CLOSED
Christmas Day – CLOSED
Babydoll Artistry will inform you if services are unavailable for any other days or times.
PLEASE NOTE:
These Public Holidays above can be booked if required however a surcharge of $100.00 will incur.
TRAVEL & PARKING CHARGES
Travel charges are including in your quotation received prior to booking.
Where applicable, parking will need to be organised for the artist, and any parking fees payable to artists on the day.
CANCELLATION CHARGES
All deposits are non-refundable.

Booking fees are non-refundable less than 3 months before the event date.
Cancellations 3 months or more prior to the event date will be entitled to a full refund less the non-refundable deposits (this does not include any trial fees).
Any reduction in the number of people booked for an event will need to be paid in full if less than 3 months' notice is given.
Please notify Babydoll Artistry of any changes to the location as soon as possible as this may alter the original quote.
ALLERGIES/ILLNESS
All brushes and products used are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to and after the application of your service.
If it is to your knowledge that you have a particular allergy and/or product that has reacted on your skin before, please address this with us prior to your appointment or application. If you are ill with a non-contagious virus on the day of the trial, please inform Babydoll Artistry before the application process so that they may ensure necessary precautions are taken.
If you possess a contagious virus or skin contradiction (eg. cold sores, pink eye, conjunctivitis, shingles, open cuts/wounds, ringworm, etc.) above the chest, you are obligated to inform us prior to your booking so that the booking may be rescheduled for a later date.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Late Fee
Babydoll Artistry has delegated times for each person which is communicated when bookings are confirmed.
PLEASE NOTE:
If, with no fault to Oakley Downie, your service runs behind the scheduled time (eg. you arrive more than 15 mins late), there are additional overtime charges of $25 per half hour. This will be added to your invoice.
Multiple Artists
If you request a second artist, the cost will be confirmed prior to your booking once the location is determined.
Touch-Up Service
Touch-up services (eg. after the ceremony, before photos, etc.) can be added for an additional fee. Alternatively, an exclusive wedding day rate can be tailored for your needs upon booking confirmation.
REWARDS
Loyalty Program
Babydoll Artistry truly appreciates loyalty and hence rewards each individual client with a 10% discount voucher on their third returning visit. This voucher will be gifted to the client in person or virtually (or both) based on their personal preference.
Referral System
A discount of 10% will be rewarded to clients who introduce other individuals to Babydoll Artistry.
This voucher will be presented to the client after their referee has booked an application, specifically referring to them.
BRIDAL SERVICES
Why Choose Babydoll Artistry for Your Big Day?
Some of the extra bonuses a bride will receive at no extra cost through booking their bridal service with us include, a professional face mask, a facial massage, re-usable false eyelashes, a face and eye shape analysis and consultation, professional product recommendations, communication to their personal artist at any time prior to the wedding day (eg. to discuss the design, the colours, the theme, any changes, any personal enquiries or issues, etc.).
Bridal Trial
The overall purpose of a bridal trial is so that the bride and bridal party may see a (possible) replica of how their hair and/or make-up will look on the day of the wedding.
This appointment allows the client/s to communicate their desired look/theme and dress to the artist, provide any inspiration pictures, get an understanding of the artist’s personality, ask for any professional advice, allow the artist to get to know the bride and their likes/dislikes, to perform a face analysis, to check for any skin contradictions or allergies, check application timing, test the look’s longevity, perform a skin test, make changes to their original desired look, and for the bride to decide if they bond with the artist for their big day.
Bridal Trial
If the bride chooses not to have a trial before the wedding day, in no way will Babydoll Artistry be held accountable for dissatisfaction on or after the wedding day.
Please note that booking in for a trial does not secure your wedding day. The wedding day deposit will be required to secure the booking.
MISCELLANEOUS
Only one gift voucher, promotion or discount code can be valid per service booked.
One client’s makeup and hair generally takes around 1 hour per service (eg. 2 hours for hair and makeup in total) with an extra 30 minutes to set up and pack up if booked outside of Babydoll Artistry's home studio.
