FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

2. When should I book my wedding trials? Do I need a trial?
Every Bride differs with this - however we do recommend that you have organised yours and your Bridesmaids' dresses (if applicable) as well as your flowers and any other major factors such as colour schemes and wedding location prior to the trials. We feel that between 4 and 6 months from the wedding is a nice time-frame.
There is no requirement to have a trial. All of the artists we recommend are highly experienced and happy to assist you in designing a look on the wedding day. However, we do recommend a trial as it is a good opportunity to meet your artist, discuss your desires for the day, and to experience wearing the hair and makeup which will be different to your everyday style. You can get a feel for what maintenance will be required throughout the day, practice wearing false lashes if you don't normally wear them and trial different styles until you are 100% happy. There is nothing better than having zero surprises on the wedding day!
3. What should I bring to my trials? Do I need to prepare for the trial?
Please bring with you any reference pictures of hair and makeup looks that you like, along with any fabric swatches, pictures of bouquets or jewellery plus any hair peices, veils or other items you feel may be helpful in the design process.
To prepare for your trial, please wash your hair the night prior and come to the trial with a clean face without any product on it (even moisturiser). This will ensure best results are obtained.

4. Is my booking with JPC or with the Stylist's own company?
Our service is purely to connect you with a team of fully vetted hair and makeup artists, that we are confident will provide you with an exceptional service. We facilitate the introduction, provide you with quotes from any available stylists, and initiate the booking process with that stylist. When a booking is made, it is being done via that stylist's own business. You will receive their direct contact information as soon as the booking is secured, and can communicate directly with the stylist via those details from that point onwards. JPC will always be here to assist you as needed, however please note that we don't manage the stylists (including their calendars and bookings), and therefore urge clients to confirm their booking directly with their stylist prior to the day for a smooth experience.
5. Does the stylist come to me, or do I need to go to them?
The stylists we recommend are generally fully mobile, unless otherwise stated on their quote to you. So in most instances, they will come direct to the client either in home, venue, studio or location. This eliminates any stress of having to travel around to salons or studios (especially on a wedding day!).
